Georgie meets Pennywise in new pic from Stephen King’s IT

Perhaps the most iconic moment in both the novel IT by Stephen King, and the 1990 mini-series, directed by Tommy Lee Wallace (HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH), is the truly terrifying scene where little Georgie chases his paper boat to an open sewer drain – only to be greeted by a motherf*cking clown.

This sequence is the one I think we are all looking forward to seeing in motion the most. This is after all our first introduction to Robert Gray aka Pennywise The Dancing Clown, and this will be the first time we will really get a glimpse into just how horrific Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise is.

Today we have a look at that very scene from the new adaptation of STEPHEN KING'S IT by way of Empire magazine. This is only a screenshot from the magazine, but it will get us through until a higher-res version is released.

Now all we have to do is wait for that SXSW teaser trailer to hit these here internets. My prediction? This place is going to go ape and sh*t.

Here is the new "Georgie meets Pennywise" scene juxtaposed with the 1990's Tim Curry version. Based on what you have seen so far, which Pennywise is scarier? Curry or Skarsgard?
