Can you stomach the blathering of an E! News anchor for about a minute or so? Then you’ll be OK to sit through this first look at the trailer for Tarsem’s IMMORTALS, which debuted on E! last night. I’ll never understand the thinking behind getting an exclusive trailer and talking over it but that’s another story for another day.
The film looks pretty incredible (loving that fiery whip) but beyond that it just seems like a sequel to 300 by way of CLASH OF THE TITANS. It’s hard to tell if I’m underwhelmed because I want to see the visuals (which will likely be the best thing about this project) in HD or because I’m annoyed by the voiceover which talks about “British hottie” Henry Cavill and “TWILIGHT star!” Kellen Lutz.
