We last reported on the inventive serial killer flick, LAID TO REST, here. Since then, director Robert Hall has been hard at work finishing off his film. He’s just released LAID’s latest pic (above) of sultry star Bobbie Sue Luther and had this to say:
“I’m terribly excited about the way it’s looking. We just finished the color correction and are doing the sound mix now, and I couldn’t be more pleased.” Hall went on to gush over the flick’s villain named ChromeSkull. Here’s what he said: “With ChromeSkull, I feel like we’ve successfully managed to make a guy in a mask scary again. He’s Death—pure and simple—but by choice. He chooses to play dress-up because he’s rich and wants to be like those guys in the movies, not because he’s a deformed killer living in the woods. He’s more like Patrick Bateman than Jason.”
I really like the sound of that. Too bad we don’t have a pic, but apparently Hall wants to keep his baddie “under wraps” for the time being. Fair enough. Hopefully he’s keeping secret something really f*cking amazing. We’ll see. For now, check out LAID’s interesting plot:
A young girl wakes up in a casket with a traumatic head injury and no memory of her identity. She quickly realizes she was abducted by a deranged serial murderer and is in an isolated rural town where she must survive the night and outsmart the technologically inclined killer who is hellbent on finishing what he started.
In addition to the gorgeous Ms. Luther (below), the flick also stars the equally gorgeous Lena Heady, Thomas Dekker, and Nick Principe as good ol’ ChromeSkull. No word yet on an exact release date.
