Get your TV fix with new promos for Scream, Halt & Catch Fire and Humans

Wes Craven’s SCREAM was a clever, self-referential take on the slasher genre. While it doesn’t look like many are too excited for MTV’s iteration (which begins airing on June 30th), I’m hoping it will be a send-up of the glossy TV shows it looks like it’s emulating. Either way, this promo is a little more clever than the previous ones we’ve seen, and oozes a little more style. And blood. There’s a bunch of that too.

On AMC’s side of things they’re gearing up to start showing their second season of Halt and Catch Fire. Set in the early 1980s, Halt dramatizes the personal computing boom through the eyes of a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy whose innovations directly confront the corporate behemoths of the time. Season 2 will start airing on May 31st, but you can actually check out the first season on Netflix now! Here’s a taste of what season 2 has in store.

If you’re looking for something original, Humans (which premieres sometime in June) takes place in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a ‘Synth’ – a highly-developed robotic servant that’s so similar to a real human it’s transforming the way we live. Yeah, I don’t foresee anything going wrong there.

Are any of you itching to catch these when they air? I think they should just combine all three of these shows. Humans: Halt, Scream, and Catch Fire.
