Actually… it won’t be a perfect getaway at all. The guys over at Bloody Disgusting are passing along the good word that A PERFECT GETAWAY has been renamed to MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. Bummer.
Why am I not down for the title change? Well here’s the flick’s synopsis: A newlywed couple on their honeymoon in Hawaii run into two hikers who turn out to be vicious killers. Doesn’t that just scream PERFECT GETAWAY? Alas… apparently the people in charge didn’t think so, thus we have MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.
Either way I’m still stoked to see this flick. Why? Well Jovovich (below) and fellow star Kiele Sanchez are both hot. Plus I dig Timothy Olyphant (above) in those twisted psychopathic roles. You see, Olyphant will be playing one of the killers alongside Sanchez while Jovovich and Steve Zahn play the happy couple. Works for me!
MIDDLE OF NOWHERE is now in post-production, showing test screenings while we wait for a release date. As always, we’ll keep you updated.
