As the year draws to a close, companies try to drum up excitement for the upcoming year by announcing their release schedules. Lionsgate’s Ghost House Underground only came clean about release two titles. Take that as you will.
In any event, Ghost House Underground will release STAG NIGHT and PSYCH:9 on February 15th. Both films will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, On Demand, and digital download. The cover art for the releases can be seen above.
STAG NIGHT marks the directorial debut of FLIGHTPLAN co-writer Peter A. Dowling, who also penned the script. The cast features Vinessa Shaw (THE HILLS HAVE EYES), Breckin Meyer (FREDDY’S DEAD: THE FINAL NIGHTMARE), Kip Pardue (REMEMBER THE TITANS), and Karl Geary (THE BURROWERS).
In STAG NIGHT, four guys on a bachelor party get off the subway at a station that shut down in the 70’s and, after watching a transit cop get brutally murdered, find themselves running for their lives beneath the streets of NY. The DVD and Blu-ray will include a making-of segment.
PSYCH:9 is directed by Andrew Shortell and written by Lawrence Robinson, the first feature for both of them. It stars Sara Foster, Cary Elwes (SAW), Michael Biehn (ALIENS), Gabriel Mann (DOMINION: A PREQUEL TO THE EXORCIST), and Coleen Camp (CLUE).
In PSYCH:9, working alone at night in a recently closed hospital, an unstable woman (Foster) witnesses events that may be connected to a string of murders. The DVD and Blu-ray will contain a production diary, deleted scenes, and outtakes.
