Ghostbusters 3 is a “no” for Emma Stone and a “maybe” for Jonah Hill

I’m more of the “don’t care” side of GHOSTBUSTERS 3 since they have been so wishy-washy about the whole thing. Dan Aykroyd looks to be the film’s biggest supporter then on the other hand you have Bill Murray supposedly wiping his ass with it (I think he actually shredded it but I think the other scenario is better). So I don’t know.

For awhile all we got was story after story of Bill Murray vs. GHOSTBUSTERS 3, and frankly, everyone got tired of it. We could never grow tired of Murray but we just wanted some concrete news on the damn thing. What we’ve heard is that a script is being rewritten with Gene Stupinsky, Lee Eisenberg, and Etan Cohen as scribes. The plot, according to Aykroyd is this:

“It’s based on new research that’s being done in particle physics by the young men and women at Columbia University… Basically, there’s research being done that I can say that the world or the dimension that we live in, our four planes of existence, length, height, width and time, become threatened by some of the research that’s being done. Ghostbusters — new Ghostbusters — have to come and solve the problem.”

Early last month, Schmoes Know said that their insider had it on good authority that Emma Stone and Jonah Hill were being considered for the roles of Anna and Jeremy, respectively. Who those characters are exactly, we don’t know. But it seems that according to the same Schmoes Know insider that Stone is out:

Emma Stone is passing on “Anna” but Jonah Hill still has an offer out for “Jeremy”. Interesting enough, Sony wants two big stars signed on or they will not green light the picture.”

Do you guys want another Ghostbusters film? If so, who would you like to see in it aside from the original cast? What would the plot be? Let us know below in the strikebacks!
