Ghostbusters adds Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams and Matt Walsh

Some high profile GHOSTBUSTERS casting to share with you as the in-production film adds some masculine names to its impressive ensemble.

The Wrap reports Andy Garcia (THE GODFATHER III), Michael Kenneth Williams (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire) and Matt Walsh (Veep, INTO THE STORM) have all joined the Paul Feig flick, which is currently shooting in Boston. Garcia will play the Mayor of New York, while Williams and Walsh’s roles aren’t known yet. (However, they play “Hawkins” and “Rourke,” respectively, should that help you at all.)

Don’t know about you, but the thought of Omar Little (Williams’ character from The Wire) hunting down ghosts is irresistible. That’s not in the cards (barring a really surprising twist) but a man can dream.

The trio join Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsworth in GHOSTBUSTERS, which Sony will release on July 22, 2016.
