Even if the new proposed sequel for this beloved series doesn’t work out in the end or doesn’t even come close to being as good as the original, we’ll always have the first GHOSTBUSTERS movie and that’s a fact. Well we have incredible news folks as it looks like the four greatest paranormal ass-kickers in cinematic history are returning to save us from Gozer the Gozerian once again as Sony Pictures plans on releasing the film back in worldwide theatres in October somewhere around Halloween (which would be perfect).
This exciting info comes from the official Facebook page for GHOSTBUSTERS and the only thing we really know at this point is that it will be presented as a brand-new “digital” quality print with plenty of spit and polish and that it will be a worldwide event. As to exactly when it releases and for how long remains to be seen but hopefully we’ll get more details soon. I definitely can’t wait to see the my boy Winston for the first time on the big-screen.
