Last time I wrote about LAKE MUNGO, Arclight films had picked it up at the American Film Market – and immediately went about setting it up for a remake. Argh… The Australian thriller tells of the paranormal activity that plagues a family following the drowning of a teenage girl – and I must say it looks pretty eerie.
Cinematographer John Brawley has posted about four minutes of the flick on his site – which you can check out right HERE. The film has a pseudo-documentary feel – not necessarily in the BLAIR WITCH vein; think a scary 60 MINUTES episode instead (which is creepier than it might sound).
Joel Anderson wrote and directed LAKE MUNGO, which stars Talia Zucker, Rosie Traynor, David Pledger and Martin Sharpe. Hopefully we’ll learn of a release date soon…
