I can’t get behind this G.I. JOE movie. They didn’t do TRANSFORMERS proper and I don’t think this will be any different. I’m imagining the STREET FIGHTER movie all over again. It’s another attempt by a studio to cash in on a name, and that’s it. Once that movie about big robots did big business, this thing was inevitable. I also know that I was an avid G.I. JOE watcher as a youth, but for some reason (drugs) it mostly escapes my memory. Call me unenthusiastic, I don’t know. Either way, this thing is going forward, full steam ahead, and to prove that, a photo of the film’s apparent logo has been snapped at a Toy Fair in NYC and it’s here, on this very site, for everyone to scrutinize, or ignore. It’s nothing special, but I know there are fanatics out there who will be very interested in this. Wake me up when the WATCHMEN poster hits.
