Cockroaches in New York is like rain in Seattle–it goes without saying. But giant killer cockroaches in New York? Now that’s something entirely different, and the basis for Pat Cerrato’s upcoming monster movie PESTICIDE!
The premise is simple enough: Giant insects are found in the sewers of NYC. One man, who is known for crying wolf has to tell his bosses who never take him serious. He puts his job and his love life on the line for the sake of the city! Only when they find his story to be true is it too late…or is it?
With an epic synopsis like that, you know we’re gonna be in for a fun treat. The trailer (which you can check out below) came out a while back (smelling like an unofficial sequel to C.H.U.D.), but now there’s a gallery of behind the scene stills available if that kind of thing interests you (HERE), and an update from Cerrato himself: [I’m] still at it and [am] now finishing up the film…
Well thank the lord for that! There’s something appealing to these low budget monster movies that I simply can’t get enough of. Sure, they’re bad… but in an awesome kind of way. Check out the trailer below to see what I mean, and stick around for more on PESTICIDE as we hear it!
