Look, THE X-FILES is one of those things where it seems like there’s always rumblings of a revival. They’ll talk about “wanting to do” another one up and down for years; doesn’t make it a tangible thing. However, it’s always fun to think that the old gang will get together for one more go-round – if only to help erase the memory of the spectacularly lame X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE.
Gillian Anderson, who is out promoting an unfortunate movie called JOHNNY ENGLISH REBORN, has gone on the record as saying she’s down to investigate another X-FILES case, and apparently believes it’s already in the works.
“I hope it will happen, there’s talk of it,” she told Australian breakfast TV program Sunrise.
“I don’t know who’s writing it but I hear there’s something going on.”
You don’t need me to tell you that this means zilch until there’s some official movement on the project. Still, maybe the lovely actress isn’t just whistling dixie and there is indeed something going on with X-FILES 3. Is it too cheesy to say I want to believe..?
