Glass Eye Pix announces cast of Jenn Wexler’s punk-horror flick The Ranger

One of the biggest names in current horror is Larry Fessenden. I mentioned in my Top Hidden Gems on Netflix post a few days ago that WE ARE STILL HERE stars Larry Fessenden and told you guys that, if you know your horror stuff, that's all you needed to hear.

In breaking news, Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix and Andrew van den Houten’s Hood River Entertainment have announced the cast of Jenn Wexler's THE RANGER.

The film will star Jeremy Holm (Mr. Robot), Chloe Levine (The Transfiguration), Amanda Grace Benitez (All Cheerleaders Die), along with Granit Lahu, Jeremy Pope, and Bubba Weiler.

THE RANGER is being sold as a "teen-punk horror thriller" and that sounds ten kinds of awesome to me. Principal photography for the flick began this week in New York so, hopefully, we can expect to hear more out of the production in the coming weeks.

THE RANGER synopsis:

A group of teen punks get in trouble with the cops. The punks escape to the woods to hide out where they come up against the local authority, an unhinged park ranger with an axe to grind, hell-bent on preserving the serenity of his forest.

THE RANGER is written by Jenn Wexler and Giaco Furino and marks the feature directing debut of Wexler, who has produced Robert Mockler's LIKE ME, Ana Asensio’s MOST BEAUTIFUL ISLAND, Mickey Keating's PSYCHOPATHS and DARLING. Andrew van den Houten and Ashleigh Snead produce for Hood River Entertainment and Larry Fessenden and Heather Buckley produce for Glass Eye Pix, along with Wexler.

We'll let you know when we hear more about Jenn Wexler's THE RANGER.
