Look, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. This looks cheesy and low rent as hell, but the bottom line is that I laughed out loud a number of times. Call me juvenile, call me off my rocker, but I go by the rule that if it makes me laugh then it's worth sharing. Given the sheer amount of boob jokes alone, this one gets some kudos, especially when one of them involves a cupcake stuck to one. Yeah, yeah, I get it, the laughs are silly as shit and the premise is a bit overcooked, but there's still something fun about the awkward scenarios that always get a chuckle out of me. In addition, James Belushi and Jennifer Tilly show up to add some B-movie street cred and on the whole this could be some solid, mindless fun.

Here's the synopsis:
Samantha (a dorkette) is in love with Payton (a dork) who is in love with Carrie (a cheerleader),who dates Clark (the football captain). When Clark seeks out Payton for secret comic book lessons, Payton sees his chance to be with Carrie. But Carrie's more interested in setting Payton up with Samantha. High School's complicated, huh? And what's Clark's secret?
Again, I doubt this movie will change your life, but hey, boob jokes, a hot cheerleader, and even a cameo from The Greatest American Hero, William Katt, can't be so bad, eh? It's destined for the silly bin, for sure, but that's not such a bad thing. Or is it?
THE SECRET LIVES OF DORKS will have a limited theatrical run and iTunes release on September 27, 2013.
