Canadian-based Helltimate Studio producer Alexandre Michaud sent over a press release for the studio’s follow-up to their 2003 release GOREGOYLES: FIRST CUT.
Set for DVD release this year, GOREGOYLES:BACK TO THE FLESH is the second entry in the horror anthology movie series, and will be totally Canadian, since the two segments were made in Ottawa and Montréal, respectively. The first segment, CLEAN (directed by Michaud himself) is a dirty serial killer gorefest, and stars Montreal rocker Marco Calliari (Anonymus). The movie also features the talent of former Necrotic Mutation singer Sébastien Croteau (GOREGOYLES: FIRST CUT) as well as Martin Dubreuil and Sébastien Dook of the band Dook. On top of that, CLEAN features an amazing soundtrack by killer bands like The Project Hate, Anonymus and Sexhead.
The second segment, entitled THE WALKERS (by Ottawa newcomer Miles Finlayson), is a gory drama dealing with hate and cannibalism. THE WALKERS stars screenwriter John Muggleton and indy director Brett Kelly (FERAL MAN, THE BONESETTER). The screenplay for the
movie was written by director Miles Finlayson from a plotline by indy veteran Ron Ford (WITCHCRAFT XI, THE FEAR, HOLLYWOOD MORTUARY, THE CRAWLING BRAIN).
Sounds to be a kickass release from some homegrown talent (well, at least in Arrow’s case). The cover art for BACK TO THE FLESH is at the top for your amusement, and check out Helltimate’s official site for more info on this and the previous entry in the series, FIRST CUT.
