Rockstar had a countdown timer to the premiere of the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5. It went up just a few minutes ago at noon, and was our first look at the next game in the franchise.
The minute and a half spot is light on details, but at least tells us where the game is headed, across the country to Hollywood. Well, Vinewood actually. The series is returning to San Andreas, the site of the popular GTA:SA title from the last console generation.
The trailer has a man talking about wanting to retire from a life of crime to spend time with his kids. With no distinct accent, it appears Rockstar may be trying to avoid controversy a bit by not making him a specific minority, though I could be wrong. Check out the trailer below and see for yourself.
