It was revealed less than a month ago that Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story) would be playing Guy Gardner in HBO Max's upcoming Green Lantern series, and it has now been reported that Jeremy Irvine (Treadstone) is in negotiations to join him as Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern.

Penned by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Seth Grahame-Smith, the ten-episode Green Lantern series will reinvent the classic comic-book and tell a story "spanning decades and galaxies, beginning on Earth in 1941 with the very first Green Lantern, secretly gay FBI agent Alan Scott (Irvine), and 1984, with cocky alpha male Guy Gardner (Wittrock) and half-alien Bree Jarta. They’ll be joined by a multitude of other Lanterns — from comic book favorites to never-before-seen heroes." Jeremy Irvine starred in USA Network's short-lived Jason Bourne spin-off series Treadstone, but has also appeared in War Horse, The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, Stonewall, Billionaire Boys Club, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, The Professor and the Madman, The Last Full Measure, and more.
