Guillermo del Toro offers up another update on At the Mountains of Madness

Just a few days ago we hit you all with an update from the AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS camp that had director Guillermo del Toro giving somewhat of an update on the film. Well that was then and this is a couple days later so here we are with yet another update for you!

This time del Toro has decided to chat it up with The LA Times’ 24 Frames blog and can you guess what the topic quickly turned to? You guessed it! AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS! So what new developments did the filmmaker decide to drop into our laps this time? Apparently del Toro wants to put everyone’s mind at ease that may be worried his other projects are dampering his work on MOUNTAINS. He says just last week he had a meeting with Universal where he laid out his concepts and models for the flick. It seems the script is already finished as well. With hopes on starting production this coming June, del Toro also notes that James Cameron is very much involved with the project, being present at the meeting with Universal and offering del Toro notes on the project.

So if you were worried at all that del Toro isn’t giving MOUNTAINS the attention it deserves then worry not! It seems the man has things under control.
