Netflix and DreamWorks Animation have struck up a deal to expand their enterprise, adding new content and bringing two original series to the platform. One of these is a series from Mexican master of horror Guillermo del Toro called Trollhunter.
Trollhunter:
will unleash a new, fantastical world wrapped around two best friends who make a startling discovery beneath their hometown.
Del Toro is no stranger to producing animated projects. His early efforts, PUSS IN BOOTS and RISE OF THE GUARDIANS were a bit questionable, but with 2014's THE BOOK OF LIFE, he proved his ability to guide animators into his iconic fairy tale style. He clearly has a good thing going with DreamWorks, because he has also nabbed an EP slot on their upcoming KUNG FU PANDA 3 and HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 3.
Not much else is known about Trollhunters at the moment, but it's set to premiere sometime this year. More on this story as it breaks!
