Guy Burnet grabs the rungs of Jacob’s Ladder

The remake of JACOB'S LADDER, directed by David M. Rosenthal, seems pretty committed to being a thing, no matter how weird the idea might be. Its growing cast has just added one more to its number: Ray Donovan's Guy Burnet.

The 32-year-old actor has had the displeasure of appearing alongside Johnny Depp in MORTDECAI, but he's also had roles in Hollyoaks, Chicago Fire, and AGE OF HEROES. He will play the character of Hoffman, a "smart but chaotic" pharmacist at the Veteran’s Administration who supplies Jacob with prescriptions.

The original JACOB'S LADDER had the following synopsis:

After returning home from the Vietnam War, veteran Jacob Singer (Tim Robbins) struggles to maintain his sanity. Plagued by hallucinations and flashbacks, Singer rapidly falls apart as the world and people around him morph and twist into disturbing images. His girlfriend, Jezzie (Elizabeth Peña), and ex-wife, Sarah (Patricia Kalember), try to help, but to little avail. Even Singer's chiropractor friend, Louis (Danny Aiello), fails to reach him as he descends into madness.

This new take, scripted by Jeff Buhler and Sarah Thorp, is said to be:

a modern day paranoid action thriller about two brothers.

Already cast are Michael Ealy, Jesse Williams, and Sleepy Hollow's Nicole Beharie.
