Here’s another behind-the-scenes look at Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN II, and I’m still unsure how I feel about this flick. There are certainly a few intriguing visuals to be found, but they’re usually followed by ones that aren’t so much. Thankfully, this video stays away from Sheri Moon Zombie’s bizarre inclusion as Deborah Myers and focuses on some action, of which there seems to be plenty. Of course, you’re also treated to Zombie talking about his disdain for the happy, normal folk, reiterating that he’d rather spend time with a group of twisted, soul-scarred paranoids… To each his own…
In case you haven’t heard, HALLOWEEN II is officially going head to head with FINAL DESTINATION 4 (I’m not calling it by its “real” title, and never will) on August 28th. Should be a very interesting battle for the top spot on that weekend, unless of course INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS blows them both away in its second weekend. The Weinstein boys are distributing BASTERDS and HALLOWEEN, so it’s a very interesting move that they should be releasing both around the same time. Perhaps they figure they can corner the market place, but those advertising dollars are going to be stretched, for sure…
