H3 in 3D? No Zombie?

THE FINAL DESTINATION made $28,335,000 this weekend (read my review here), ROB ZOMBIE’S HALLOWEEN 2 (my review will be up tomorrow) made $17,405,000. You know what that means right? Two probable sequel for both up our ying-yangs sooner than later. Well as of now one sequel has been confirmed via Yahoo News. I’m talking HALLOWEEN 3, in 3D and without ROB ZOMBIE behind the camera. Check it!

The Weinstein Co. plans to release “Halloween 3” in 3-D next summer, said Bob Weinstein, who co-founded the company with brother Harvey. While Zombie will not be back to direct, the next sequel will pick up from his story and give a new twist on slasher Myers, Weinstein said. “Halloween II” did far less business than Zombie’s “Halloween,” which opened at No. 1 with $30.6 million two years ago. But Weinstein noted that the sequel took in more than its $15 million production budget over opening weekend.

Too bad Zombie is not returning to Myers Land, lets face it – it will be hard to follow up where H2 left the franchise without him. I hope we don’t get yet another reboot…lets wait and see!
