Habla Train Wreck?

Habla Train Wreck?

I’m almost going to have to see CURSED just to see what this jumble of unfortunate occurances comes out like. I mean, even when the cast is sent out to drum up excitement about the project (and trust me, it doesn’t take much to get me excited when Christina Ricci is talking), it just comes across as flat. No enthusiasm, no particular opinions, just blah.

Take for instance some of these tidbits from the interview SciFi Wire has posted with Ms. Ricci and her co-star Jesse Eisenberg:

“[Jesse and I] weren’t related in the original version. We just both happened to be involved in this crash, and then when we came back we were brother and sister.”

“Josh (Jackson) wasn’t in the original one. There was no club that anybody was opening.”

“There was a wax museum.”

Boring. They also chat about how the story changes that required all the re-shooting still incorporated the big effects shots that were already in the can. What a surprise. I’m sure the flow of the film will reflect that, with all the smoothness of a ten-gallon drum rolling over a tin roof.

Interestingly in another interview with SciFi.com, Ricci indicates that the reshoots were a result of bad dailies, which apparently caused some panic and the ensuing clusterf*ck. This is the first time that footage, rather than story, has been named as a culprit. With this much blame spreading around, the 2nd AD better get out of the country.

At least the cast is attractive. Check out the lovely Mya below for ample proof of that!
