Haim’s Girl of horror

I’ve always said that a nice way to jazz up an old-school horror slasher is to make the psychotic killer a chick. I’ve actually written one out, keeping this theory and a little twist in mind. But enough about me. It’s time to set your horror headpieces to Haim! As in The Corey Haim! The LOST BOYS alum has been tapped to star in an upcoming “stalk ’n slash” indie titled THE GIRL for director, Travis Bowen, who described the flick as follows:

“The movie is really like a ‘Friday The 13th’ movie, but with the killer being an attractive woman instead of a big guy in a hockey mask. It’s her story in the beginning of the movie and then it becomes about a group of friends on a vacation being stalked and hunted by her. The story ends with a good twist at the end and the movie sets itself up for a sequel.”

Okey-dokey, I guess. Well, I am glad to see that our “female slasher” will be played Playboy Playmate, Lisa Neeld (below). Plus, the rest of the cast is sprinkled with happily horror-centric homeboys and girls: C.J. Graham, Ari Lehman, Warrington Gillette and Ron Millkie (all four are veterans of the original FRIDAY THE 13TH films), as well as Lindsay Felton from VH1’s SCREAM QUEENS. Not bad at all. I’ll keep my eye out for this GIRL.
