Haim’s New Terminal

Way back at the beginning of October, I told you guys about a new psychological horror flick called NEW TERMINAL HOTEL. I liked a lot about this one from its original, creepy/darkly comedic synopsis to the fact that Ms. Tiffany Shepis was on board as one of the main stars. Now, there may be another reason for all of us to tune in, and that reason is…

Corey Haim? Yes, it’s true, the once-promising child star of THE LOST BOYS (right) has just been announced as one of NEW TERMINAL’s new cast members. Wow, first we got Haim’s 2-second cameo in LOST BOYS 2. Now, this! What could possibly be next? A LICENSE TO DRIVE sequel? I heard Heather Graham is available.

Actually, there may be a slightly more logical explanation for Haim’s involvement with NEW TERMINAL. He just got engaged to Ms. Shepis (lucky S.O.B.)! I wonder if dear Ms. Tiffany (below) pulled some strings to get her future hubby a gig? Nepotism is pretty big in Hollywood. Or maybe Mr. Haim is just looking to get seriously back in the biz? I guess we’ll see how he handles this new role to know for sure.

Here’s how the basic plot is described: A writer has his former boss, a studio chief, on ice—literally—in the hotel room he’s holed up in. NEW TERMINAL HOTEL features shades of the organ-theft horror stories we’ve always heard about, but it’s also a comment on how far a guy can go off the rails within the Hollywood structure and still be completely unchecked—and worse yet, be dealt a blind eye and allowed to operate.

Interesting. The flick was written and directed by BC Furtney. In addition to Shepis and Haim, it stars Stephen Geoffreys and Ezra Buzzington. NEW TERMINAL is currently shooting in Washington, PA with no set release date yet.
