The folks behind religious zealot slasher flick HALLOWED dropped a line to let us know that the DVD release is going to hit in April or May this year through Barnholtz Entertainment. Let me tell you, watch the embedded trailer and you’ll never feel quite as comfortable with the phrase, “May God be with you,” again.
While there is no synopsis offered at the Official Site, the flick appears to be about a young kid who is traumatized while listening to his father’s sermons and grows up to bring a distinctly biblical ass-whooping to the world at large. Most importantly, though, it looks like a hell of a lot of fun (see example below).
The DVD is currently thin on Special Features, but will include an audio commentary from filmmakers Rocky
Costanzo and Roy Thomasson. I can only hope they spend a good deal of time discussing the screening they held in Tijuana. Me likey to live vicariously.
