You’re going to have to cancel that date you had planned with Michael Myers this upcoming Halloween – Dimension Films has pulled HALLOWEEN 3D from its release slate and slapped the movie with a “release date to be determined” label.
Such news may not come as the biggest surprise to those of you waiting with bated breath for the next installment in this franchise, as you’ll notice we never reported that a director had even been picked. Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer (DRIVE ANGRY 3D) were the gents tasked with writing the latest draft, but it seems the studio was unhappy with the result and is instead fielding new pitches as the project is still “a priority at the studio.“
So it’s not gone away altogether, don’t you worry about that. But if you want to take bets with your friends as to when it will eventually release (and don’t tell anyone I told you this), Halloween 2013 may or may not be a safe pick.
