Last week, we dropped news on a possible storyline (and possible existance) for DIABLO 3. Today, possible details of another sequel, HALO 3, were posted on the GamingAge Forums, which were previous printed in Swedish gaming magazine LEVEL.
HALO 3 developer Bungee had mentioned last week that it was showing off builds of the game to a variety of gaming press outlets, and LEVEL was one of them. Someone over in Sweden thought it’d be cool for the rest of the world to know what they saw, and had scanned the article LEVEL had written up and uploaded it accordingly, with the article was subsequently translated (spotty, but still worthwhile).
Some of the nuggets dropped were that there would be a ton of plot twists (“[more] than any other game in the series”, according to Bungee’s Jaime Griesemer), that gamers would be seeing a Collector’s Edition (dubbed the Legendary Edition) which is a replica of Master Chief’s helmet complete with four DVDs of stuff, new weapons and vehicles, as well as something called a ‘man cannon’ (hopefully a translation error), which would launch the player into the air through air streams, where you can shoot at enemies on the ground (though they can fire back at you).
Bungee’s response to the article being uploaded: this morning posting a news item acknowledging that magazine scans with new Halo 3 content had started hitting the Web, and threatening a permanent ban for anyone posting them on the company’s forums. Obviously, this news ain’t bull. To read the translated article, head to the post here and hope that the game exceeds the previous one’s expectations (a given for sure).
