Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters gets pushed back again

Okay, that may be overstating it. HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS is being pushed back again, ever so slightly, from January 11, 2013 to January 25, 2013. Not a huge deal or anything, but after already being knocked out of its original March 2, 2012 drop date it is worth noting.

The good news: the film is going to get an IMAX release on the new date as well. That should take the sting out of the slightly elongated wait, right?

The film is directed by DEAD SNOW helmer Tommy Wirkola. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton play the titular leads, while Famke Janssen gets all witch-y on their asses. Check out a sexy picture of her and the film’s synopsis below.

After getting a taste for blood as children, Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have become the ultimate vigilantes, hell bent on retribution. Now, unbeknownst to them, Hansel and Gretel have become the hunted, and must face an evil far greater than witches…their past.
