Harley Quinn Season 3 image arrives ahead of the 2022 return of the animated series

Gas up the convertible, buckle the hyenas in tight, and get ready to hit the road with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy! HBO Max has unveiled a new first-look photo for Harley Quinn Season 3. In the image below, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are lounging on a beach while sipping a bit of bubbly. The weather is clear, the swimsuits are stylish, and sun hats are ready to provide plenty of protection against the rays. The Harley Quinn Season 3 image is making me want to jump on a plane and go back to Jamaica right now. Who’s coming with me?

The voice cast for Harley Quinn includes Kaley Cuoco as Harley, Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, Alan Tudyk as Clayface and Joker, Tony Hale as Doctor Psycho, Ron Funches as King Shark, JB Smoove as Frank the Plant, Giancarlo Esposito as Lex Luthor, Natalie Morales as Lois Lane, Diedrich Bader as Batman, Jim Rash as Riddler, Chris Meloni as Commissioner Gordon, Rahul Kohli as Scarecrow, Sanaa Lathan as Catwoman, Vanessa Marshall as Wonder Woman, and Jacob Tremblay as Robin. The new season also introduces Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows) as Nightwing.

Famously known for having the best ass in comics, Nightwing was once known as the Boy Wonder and Batman’s partner in the war against crime. Introduced as the orphan Dick Grayson, he adopts the name Nightwing after he and Batman go their separate ways. Trained in the art of acrobatics from a young age, Nightwing swings and tumbles through Gotham City with ease and has been romantically involved with Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) on more than one occasion.

In addition to Guillén playing Nightwing, it has also been revealed that James Gunn will play himself in Harley Quinn Season 3. Co-creator and co-showrunner Patrick Schumacker revealed Gunn’s involvement during the Reimagining of Iconic Characters for an Adult Audience panel at the most-recent South by Southwest festival. According to Schumacker, Gunn is set to cameo in the series as he goes to work directing a movie “about Thomas Wayne.” No one is certain how big of a part Gunn will play in the series, but the director recently revealed that he’s very excited about the opportunity.

“I’ve been holding onto this for a while. As an enormous fan of the show, it’s an incredible honor! Thanks to the #HarleyQuinn gang for the fun (PS, my Thomas Wayne biopic is going to be a MASTERPIECE!),” said Gunn.

DC also has a Harley Quinn spinoff series under the working title Noonan’s that is currently in the works. The concept involves Kite Man (Matt Oberg) foolishly purchasing Gotham’s seediest dive bar, where everyone knows your name but not necessarily your secret identity.
