Harlin’s Covenant

It’s no secret that I’m a HUGE fan of director Renny Harlin’s movies- whether he’s entertaining us in DIE HARD 2: DIE HARDER, or THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT, or CLIFFHANGER- the man knows how to entertain! Sure, EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING was utterly unwatchable, but what’s one flaw coming from the man who brought us DEEP BLUE SEA?

Today Fango scored a few all-new images from Harlin’s latest film THE COVENANT, and I must say it looks… boring. Well, they’re a boring couple of images that don’t show much and doesn’t highlight anyone but the set. But seeing as it’s a movie about a group of New England boarding school students who posses paranormal abilities that some use to murder and, um, other bad things. Think THE CRAFT, but with dudes. So showcasing the lair of this covenant is probably a fitting scene to show as a ‘first of’ pic.


This entertaining trash entry of Harlin’s film library stars Steven Strait, Laura Ramsey, Sebastian Stan, Taylor Kitsch and Wendy Crewson. Quite the cast of no one real big, but with Harlin on board, you know it’s gonna… well, like I said before… it’ll be entertaining.
