Haunting Molly

Who’s ready for another hot-chick-gets-spooked flick? ME! Especially when said chickie is played by the adorably sultry Haley Bennett (below). Also, especially when said flick contains scenes as gruesome as the pic above! Such is the case with THE HAUNTING OF MOLLY HARTLEY. Have yourself a look at the full plot synopsis:

Molly (Haley Bennett) is a seventeen-year-old girl who recently moved to a new town for a fresh start after her mother’s terrifying psychotic break. While struggling to find her place amongst the cliques at her new private school, she becomes haunted by disturbing visions and voices that expose a dark secret from her past. Can she separate fact from fiction before it’s too late?

Well, not too much of the scary is given away and I think that’s a good thing. I’m a big fan of private-school-set horrors (I even enjoyed CRY_WOLF). Plus, by the image above, I’m guessing that MOLLY won’t be looking to shy away from the great gore stuff!

In addition to Bennett, the rest of the cast includes Chace Crawford (THE CONVENANT), AnnaLynne McCord (DAY OF THE DEAD ’08), Jake Weber (DAWN OF THE DEAD ’04, Josh Stewart, Nina Siemaszko and Shannon Marie Woodward. MOLLY was directed by Mickey Liddell from a script by Rebecca Sonnenshine (AMERICAN ZOMBIE) and John Travis (THE NEW DAUGHTER). It’s set to release this October 31st.
