But it’s safe to say my interest is definately peaked now. We got a look at the new trailer for the flick over in our videos section and it looks like something worth taking note of.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m still sensing all kinds of ‘been-there-done-that’ stuff with your generic haunted house movie… but the trailer has sold me. I don’t care if it’s the same stuff we’ve seen twenty times, this trailer has me looking forward to it! I guess that means there’s something in there that’s different from all the rest… I don’t know what it is, but it’s there. Maybe it’s the fact that this movie looks like it actually might be… scary? I know, I know. A horror movie, scary, in the year 2009? I agree with you… but it doesn’t hurt to hope right?
Lionsgate also released the first still for the flick. You can check that out below, click through for a slightly bigger shot. The movie was directed by Peter Cornwell with a script based on a true story (aren’t they all?) written by Adam Simon and Tim Metcalfe. It stars Amanda Crew, Virginia Madsen (below), Kyle Gallner, Martin Donovan, and Casey Jones himself Elias Koteas! Hell this movie would be worth checking out just for Koteas!
Here’s the synopsis: After a family is forced to relocate for their son’s health, they begin experiencing supernatural behavior in their new home, which turns out to be a former mortuary. Groovy. So go ahead and enjoy the trailer by clicking through below, then go ahead and enjoy that picture of Virginia Madsen and her legs. HAUNTING is set for a release sometime next year.
