Variety reports that Razzie nominee and NAPOLEON DYNAMITE biatch Haylie Duff has joined the cast of something called I SCREAM MAN, which unfortunately has nothing to do with the Clint Howard classic ICE SCREAM MAN (so very close though…)
Duff joins Kristen Kerr (PLANE DEAD, INLAND EMPIRE) and a couple of people called Spencer Garrett and Theresa Tilly. The flick is about “a vengeful ice cream vendor, driven by brutal memories from his twisted past, who wreaks bloody havoc on the small, seemingly innocent town of Hooper, California.” Hooper, California… oh I see, like Tobe Hooper… Well done, I SCREAM MAN, well done…
If you watch MASTERS OF HORROR, you’ll agree this sounds almost identical to Tom Holland’s “WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE SCREAM.” Looks like I SCREAM MAN will have to struggle to compete in an already crowded “creepy ice cream truck driver hung up on his crappy past” genre.
