HBO announces 2020 start for Westworld Season 3, Lena Waithe joins the cast

Howdy there, pardners! Iffin' you're anythin' like me, you've likely been ponderin' the start date of HBO's WESTWORLD Season 3 ever since the epic conclusion of last year's sophomore offerin'. Well, it would seem that last night, the prestige cable network done announced when Dolores, Bernard, The Man in Black, and all of their automaton compatriots would come moseying back for more robot on human carnage. I reckon it's goin' be a while though, I'm sorry to say, as the sun won't rise on WESTWORLD Season 3 until sometime in 2020.

Now I know that extended waits for your favorite shows can be frustraitin', but I also reckon it'll give the powers that be all the more opportunity to make sure it's amazin' when it does indeed arrive. Iffin' you need convincin' that the creators of WESTWORLD are takin' care to make the next season better than the last, you need only look to the recent casting of Lena Waithe (MASTER OF NONE, READY PLAYER ONE) as evidence that the show is in mighty fine shape thus far. Accordin' to Deadline, Waithe "will appear" on WESTWORLD during it's third season, though the nature of her character remains unclear at this juncture. In fact, we've yet to learn iffin' she'll play a recurrin' character or otherwise. Regardless, adding a Primetime Emmy Award winner to the park is bound to strike gold with fans of the series.

Upon signin' up for HBO's sci-fi Western series, Waithe will appear beside the recently cast Aaron Paul (BREAKING BAD, BOJACK HORSEMAN) in WESTWORLD Season 3, which will continue the apocalyptic and cryptic events of Season 2. I'd tell you what transpired in those final moments, but I'm no fool. They make coffins fitted for cowpokes who shout spoilers where I come from, and I haven't yet had my fill of the park's natural splendor. Besides, that's why y'all have that new-fangled internet for. Look it up, iffin' you're that curious.

Well, it's about time for me to hit the ol' dusty trail. I think everyone will sleep better tonight knowin' when WESTWORLD is set to make its return. Yeah, it's a real shame that it'll take a while to get here, but in the meantime we can dream of dragons, warrior snowmen, and creepy lil' prophetic varmints in fancy wheelchairs.
