Westworld: HBO unveils first season four teaser & premiere date; Ariana DeBose joins as recurring

HBO has unveiled the first teaser trailer for season four of Westworld and with it comes a fresh look at the upcoming season, a release date, and the news that recent Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose, who took home Best Supporting Actress honors for her role in West Side Story, has joined the cast as a recurring guest star.

No word on who DeBose will be playing but she’s joining returning cast members Evan Rachel Wood, Emmy winner Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Aaron Paul, and Angela Sarafyan. Season four of the series, which will consist of eight episodes, premieres on June 26, 2022, and will be available to also stream on HBO Max. You can check out the first look image of Ariana DeBose below!

Per HBO’s logline, Westworld is “a dark odyssey about the fate of sentient life on Earth.” The show was created for television by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who are executive producers with Alison Schapker, Denise Thé, J.J. Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis, and Ben Stephenson. The series is also based on the film written by Michael Crichton. It has been two years since season three of Westworld aired so fans may want to do a refresher before season four gets started. One “surprise” is that Evan Rachel Wood’s character Dolores has been resurrected after having sacrificed herself at the end of season three. She’s very much alive in this teaser and looking very shiny and new.

Will YOU be watching season four of Westworld? Season four premieres on June 26, 2022, on HBO.
