Oscar winner Helen Hunt doesn't have a whole lot of genre credits to her name, and those she does have are from long ago. Even though she was gracious enough to come back and appear in another TRANCERS sequel for Full Moon even when the sitcom Mad About You was boosting her career to a new level, I thought that might have been the end of Hunt's genre association. But that's not the case.
I'm surprised to see that Hunt has taken the lead role in a horror film called I SEE YOU, which Saban Films will be giving a U.S. theatrical and VOD release on December 6th.
Directed by Adam Randall from a screenplay by Devon Graye, I SEE YOU has the following synopsis:
When a 12-year-old boy goes missing, lead investigator Greg Harper struggles to balance the pressure of the investigation and troubles with his wife, Jackie. Facing a recent affair, great strain is put on the family that slowly gnaws away at Jackie's grip on reality. But after a malicious presence manifests itself in their home and puts their son, Connor, in mortal danger, the cold, hard truth about evil in the Harper household is finally uncovered.
Hunt is joined in the cast by Jon Tenney, Judah Lewis, Owen Teague, Libe Barer, Greg Alan Williams, Erika Alexander, and Allison King.
