Helen Mirren wants to be in a Fast & Furious film; Sign her up!

With FURIOUS 7 almost here, there's the question of how and if the series can continue. Prior to the death of Paul Walker more entries in the series were a sure thing, but now those films are up in the air. I would completely understand if FURIOUS 7 ended up serving as a finale to the whole franchise, but I'm guessing they'll continue onwards. Should FAST AND FURIOUS 8 come to pass, there's already one potential cast member who'd love to be involved: Dame Helen Mirren.

While speaking to Yahoo Movies about her upcoming film WOMAN IN GOLD, she expressed her desire to appear alongside Vin Diesel in the franchise:

My great ambition is to be in a Fast and Furious movie. I so want to be a mad driver in a Fast and Furious movie. My claim to fame is I always do my own driving — I was on Top Gear, and I did [my lap] in a very good time. I keep putting it out there, and they never ask me. I’ll be in Fast and Furious 8. I have to say Vin Diesel is brilliant. I love Vin Diesel. He’s a great guy, smart — I love him. It’s partly because of him I’d like to be in one, but also the driving. I’d also love to do another Red-type movie, because those are such fun to do.

Mirren is no stranger to kicking ass, having been featured in both RED and its sequel as the not-so-retired assassin Victoria Winslow, so I'd be completely open to her entering the ridiculous world of The Fast & The Furious.

Helen Mirren's newest film, WOMAN IN GOLD, tells the true story of Maria Altmann, a Jewish refugee who fled Vienna during World War II and returns decades later to reclaim a painting the Nazis stole from her family: The famous Lady in Gold. The film is set to open April 3, 2015 but our own Chris Bumbray already has his review up. Take it away Chris! Ah, he can't hear me.

What type of role do you imagine Helen taking on in a Fast & Furious film?
