Here’s yet another great trailer for The Double starring Jesse Eisenberg

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Boy, this movie looks absolutely fascinating. Talking about THE DOUBLE, the darkly comedic mind*ck from SUBMARINE director Richard Ayode. (Here’s our review from TIFF if you missed it last year.) Starring Jesse Eisenberg as a man who is inexplicably confronted with his doppelgänger, THE DOUBLE has presented us with not one, not two, but now three splendid trailers, each one brimming with creepy, mysterious (not to mention humorous) atmosphere. Check out the latest one below:

Magnolia Pictures will release THE DOUBLE in theaters and on iTunes/OnDemand May 9th. The film has a tremendous supporting cast, including Mia Wasikowska, Wallace Shawn, Yasmin Paige, Noah Taylor, James Fox, Cathy Moriarty, Chris O’Dowd, Sally Hawkins, Craig Roberts and Paddy Considine.

The synopsis:

Simon is a timid man, scratching out an isolated existence in an indifferent world. He is overlooked at work, scorned by his mother, and ignored by the woman of his dreams. He feels powerless to change any of these things. The arrival of a new co-worker, James, serves to upset the balance. James is both Simon’s exact physical double and his opposite – confident, charismatic and good with women. To Simon’s horror, James slowly starts taking over his life.
