Here’s your first teaser poster and official title for Transformers 4!

Today we offered up three possible titles for TRANSFORMERS 4. Which one got the nod?

TRANSFORMERS: APOCALYPSE, TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST STAND, or TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION?

The one that made me laugh the most– TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION. It’s like choosing the best of three turds, then again, what was I expecting? Yeah, the series is meant to be a bunch of fun movies not meant to be taken too seriously but I read the title in a serious tone, and therefore it made me laugh. The connection here has to do with the reveal of the dinobots which were pretty much confirmed by producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and everyone else on the planet. We know that we are getting dinobots, no point in tiptoeing around it.

All was revealed on the first teaser poster. The logo is buried like a fossil underneath some sand. How quaint. I like the cast (Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, T.J. Miller) and welcome dino-anything.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION will hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
