The Channel 4 News Team is Back!

For those of us who can't stop quoting the first ANCHORMAN film (seriously, it's like a sickness!) we now have a sequel to corrupt our everyday conversation and I have no problem with that whatsoever. The only question is: Can the sequel live up to the hype? With director Adam McKay getting the whole band back together and with a nice helping of new additions and plentiful cameos, I'm pretty sure this will be well in line with the spirit, hilarity, and insanity of the first. I mean, shit, this new trailer has scorpions, bowling balls, sharks, a funeral, a brawl, and some insensitive jokes. Sadly, Brick does not throw a trident…but that could still happen!

It's gonna make one hell of a story:

Here's the synopsis:

With the 70's behind him, San Diego's top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), returns to the news desk in "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues."  Also back for more are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner) – All of whom won’t make it easy to stay classy…while taking the country's first 24-hour news channel by storm.

By the looks of what we've seen so far it seems that if you're a fan of the first ANCHORMAN then you're going to be a fan of this one. They all just seem to be having a blast making these films and it shows. For my money, this is Will Ferrell at the height of his game and definitely the character he'll be most remembered for, so as long as it's working, I'm game for Ron Burgundy to continue his journey on the big screen.

ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES hits theaters on December 20, 2013. Don't act like you're not impressed.
