Hilarious Japanese spot for GI Joe: Retaliation, starring Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis, has the best voice over ever!

JoBloJoBlo

Yes, I said hilarious.  The movie itself looks pretty damn fun and I’m still hopeful that a year’s worth of reshoots, 3D post-conversion, and “not” more Channing Tatum will equal a Joe flick worth watching.  Hopeful is the key word there.  Anyway, this new Japanese spot has got a nice slice of quick cut action sequences and some terrifically over-the-top voice over work.  It sounds as if the movie is being announced as a boxing match, rather than a film, making it all the more awesome.  The last part, where the title is announced in English as “G.I. Joe: Back To Revenge” is just comedy gold.

Enjoy:

At this stage in the game, I’m all in.  Even with all the delay controversy and the fact that the director has only made concert films and dance movies, the bottom line is that I’m a child of the ’80’s and G.I. Joe is a staple of my childhood.  Even if it’s the worst pile of crap, it can’t be worse than the last one…can it?

Directed by John Chu and starring Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Adrianne Palicki, Channing Tatum, Ray Stevenson, Joseph Mazzello, D.J. Catrona, Arnold Vosloo, Ray Park, Walton Goggins, RZA, and Byung-hun Lee, G.I. JOE: RETALIATION gets back to revenge on March 29, 2013.  And, oh yes, in 3D.  Don’t you worry.
