Fangoria got the heads up from Fox Searchlight Pictures that their latest dip into the realm of horror remakes, THE HILLS HAVE EYES, will be splattering into theaters March 10th, 2006!
Directed by Alexandre Aja (HIGH TENSION), it’s the classic retelling of lost vacationers and inbred savages, originally helmed by horror master Wes Craven.
With Aja behind the camera, I’m actually looking forward to this, although the original will always have a twisted place in my heart.
In other news, Rogue Pictures’ CRY WOLF, with Jon Bon Jovi, will be battling VENOM (formerly THE REAPER) for the horror box-office glory on September 16th. Smart move, or dumb choice? As both movies look like fun, I highly doubt that they’re going to make
a lot of bank at the box office. But hey- BOOGEYMAN and HIDE AND SEEK both made out like bandits, and those movies sucked!
