Twitch film recently scored the trailer for the Malaysian film HISTERIA. The first still from the flick can be seen to the right. Pretty damn gruesome huh? I don’t know, I see it more than just gore. It’s just looks like it fits perfectly into some great horror. The synopsis for the film is:
HISTERIA is a horror story that takes place at a private college evolving around a group of students who call themselves the “Pink Flamingo”. One day they decided to pull a prank and pretended to be hysterical. When they’re caught, they’re punished by having to clean the college premises for a week during their semester break. A new student wanted to join the group but before she would be accepted they had to test her so, they thought up of this test that she had to sleep in a lab which is said to be haunted while the other students try to scare her. But suprisingly weird things are actually happening to them all. So many mysterious occurances just seem to be taking place. Things got more mysterious after that and many unimaginable things started to happen. That’s when the grisly deaths start.
Twitch describes it as bloody and gory with a lesbian element. The film is directed by James Lee and stars Liyana Jasmay, Noris Ali, Ainul Aishah, Ady Putra, Ayu, Naftalya, Scha, and Reanna. You can check out the trailer below. To my knowledge there’s been no distribution news, but it’s only a matter of time before this one is remade in the US.
