History of the World Part 2 teaser trailer: Mel Brooks spoofs more historical events in the long-awaited Hulu series

The Master of Comedy, Mel Brooks, is back to take another swipe at some of history’s most iconic figures and events with History of the World, Part II. Over 40 years since Brooks’ original film made a mockery of Moses, introduced the first caveman critic, and turned the Spanish Inquisition into a song-and-dance routine, the legendary comedian is ready for another trip through the ages. Times certainly have changed, but Brooks’s knack for making fun of humankind’s victories and losses remains as sharp as ever. Hulu debuted a History of the World Part 2 teaser trailer on Friday, featuring a massive cast of comedy greats in the making.

Here’s the official synopsis:

After waiting over 40 years, there is finally a sequel to the seminal Mel Brooks film, History of the World, Part I, with each episode featuring a variety of sketches that take us through different periods of human history.

The series stars Mel Brooks (SpaceballsSilent MovieBlazing Saddles), Wanda Sykes (Bad MomsEvan AlmightyMonster-in-Law), Nick Kroll (Sausage PartyBig MouthWhat We Do in the Shadows), and Ike Barinholtz (Suicide SquadDisaster MovieThe Mindy Project).

In the History of the World Part 2 teaser trailer, a 96-year-old Brooks introduces new footage of the 8-episode series. Throughout the trailer, many comedians play several of the world’s most significant players, including Noah, Jesus Christ, Harriet Tubman, Judas, Sigmund Freud, Rasputin, Amelia Earhart, Marco Polo, and more! With various world events and universally-known personalities to lampoon, History of the World Part II is ready to bring the long-gestating sequel to the masses!

History of the World, Part II premieres on Hulu on Monday, March 6, 2023, with two episodes. Two new episodes will drop daily, with the finale on Thursday, March 9.
