Hoax Hunters optioned for the big screen by Quality Transmedia

The Hollywood Reporter just dropped the news that producer Jeff Krelitz and his Quality Transmedia banner have optioned the screen rights to HOAX HUNTERS, a comic from Image Comics, with the intent of bringing it to the big screen as a feature length film.

The book, created by Michael Moreci and Steve Seeley (the brother of Hack/Slash creator Tim Seeley), centers around…

“a group of paranormal investigators who debunk mysteries for a TV show called Hoax Hunters. But in reality, the hunters are working hard to cover up and keep the world’s dark forces secret.”

Krelitz is seeking writers, with a plan to get a script written and then get the project set up.

I’m not familiar with the source material but judging from the synopsis HOAX HUNTERS sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Hopefully we’ll be hearing more about this project soon.
