Hoffman directs Jack

JoBloJoBlo

Phillip Seymour Hoffman Coming off a buzz worthy performance in the drama DOUBT, Phillip Seymour Hoffman will be making his feature directorial debut with the romantic comedy JACK GOES BOATING. Based on Bob Glaudini’s off Broadway play, Hoffman will also star alongside Amy Ryan in “an unconventional comedy set in New York City”. The “unconventional” part of the story apparently includes a healthy dose of “cooking classes, swimming lessons and illegal drugs.” You know, cause it’s all so wacky and eccentric. Production is expected to begin in New York on February 9th. In addition to the buzz he’s generation with DOUBT, Hoffman can next be seen in the period drama THE BOAT THAT ROCKED (what is it with Hoffman and boats?) and voices the titular character in the animated flick MARY AND MAX.
