In another one of those pointless sequel moments, the direct-to-video sequel to HOLLOW MAN was announced today by Sony, and is set to hit shelves May 23.
With no Kevin Bacon or Paul Verhoeven in sight this time around, the sequel stars Christian Slater, Peter Facinelli and Laura Regan and is directed by Claudio Fäh. The story involves a Seattle detective and a biologist, who go on the run from a dangerous invisible assassin gone rogue, as well as the government forces that created him. Yessir, we get two invisible dudes this time around, all for $24.96, which is more than what the original’s asking price is nowadays, and that’s 2 discs (see where I’m going with this?).
Besides the cover art above, Sony details that the film will be an anamorphic widescreen transfer with English DD 5.1, and will have deleted scenes and visual effects featurettes to round out the extras deptartment.
