In the latest case of Hollywood’s unoriginality, word is out that there is interest in an Americanized remake of RARE EXPORTS: A CHRISTMAS TALE.
In a recent interview with our boys at STYD, director Jalmari Helander revealed, “There’s lot of conversation about the remake right now. We’re seeing what’s happening. It would be interesting to see an American, more mainstream version.” Color me unsurprised.
In the Finnish film, an elite trio of expert hunters venture into the woods to track and capture an especially rare and dangerous prey for the Christmas season. It hits theaters this Friday, December 3rd via Oscilloscope Laboratories. The possible remake will likely be contingent on screening performances and reactions. We’ll keep you updated.
Wouldn’t you rather upwrap these sexy gifts than see another remake?
